Sophomore year is the perfect time to continue building on your ninth grade foundation while beginning to think about your college aspirations seriously. It’s a great time to start a college list and to explore majors.

Hourly One-on-One Sessions

Suggested topics to cover:

  • Develop preliminary college list and begin to identify schools that could be a good fit for the student

  • Discuss and outline plan for standardized testing (PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP, IB)

  • Set and stay on top of goals for extracurriculars and leadership activities

  • Further strategize on the course load rigor depending on college goals and the student’s academic strengths

  • Help pursue honor recognitions (e.g. National Honor Society, California Scholarship Federation)

  • Begin exploring majors of interest
